Ugly but Comfy...Ram Rebel Interior

I'm not the biggest fan of the tire tread seatbacks nor the militant any colour as long as its red RAM has chosen for the Rebels interior...however, the layout is perfect, love that they've moved the shifter back to the column, the seats and bolsters are comfy and naturally there is enough room for a queen size bed in the back seat

I think that the back seat looks fine. Not so sure about the red that I see on the front seats there though. Could work for some people but its not like that will be universally liked. Centre stack looks pretty good, but I think the screen could be bigger.

It kinda looks like wet and wrinkling laundry on the back seat. I'm not sure that people would choose not to buy the Ram Rebel because of that back seat though. I think that comfort and function will be a more important factor in Ram Rebel buyer's decisions.

What you're seeing on that seat isn't just about the rear seat, ALL seats are like that. In fact, it's the front seats that people will pay more attention to.

I didn't realize that all the seats are like that. I could see that turning off some people. If they are smart then it will be an option instead of the only way that the seats come.

We'll they're not in the business of pleasing everyone. "Smart", can be said for not having variation in options and rather just having one, don't be so quick to call just one approach a smart one.

Obviously there is more than one smart move when it comes to this. I do think those seats are ugly though. I probably wouldn't base my entire buying decision on it though, so maybe they could leave it as the only option.

The problem is FCA has mono speced the interior. So even if you like the truck there is no recourse for the interior. No matter what you get it must punch you in the face with red bezels and tire tracks everywhere...

I like Fords approach to the Raptor, mildly tart up the interior, let the rest of the truck do the talking... or is FCA hoping the look will do most of the talking

It's not so bad mono speccing the interior, but if you are going to do that, you should make the interior appealing to as many people as possible. Not sure Ram succeeded in that.

More than likely they wanted to do whatever will result in this truck making a stronger statement, a loud one.

I guess ultimately this vehicle will be appealing to a pretty small segment of the overall market. Perhaps Ram found that the typical Ram Rebel customer is someone that would appreciate this more pronounced interior styling.

Chances are that might be what they have planned for, with an approach like what they did with the interior... they didn't give that area of the truck the foundation for wide appeal.

Seeing what initial demand and sales volume will be interesting.
