Transmission downshifiting?

Do you find that the trans down shifts to quickly when coasting down hills? None of my other vehicles did this until you were going substantially slower. I am not sure if this is normal or not???

I've noticed that mine does the same. I think it's to help control the speed from increasing

Ok, so it's not just mine. The problem I have with that is that if want to regulate my speed, I will do it with the brake pedal. Brake pads are much cheaper than transmission rebuilds. I do have the lifetime warranty, but I don't want to have to use it. Not really a fan of these electronically controlled gizmos.
I don't think it's bad for the transmission. I'm more concerned about the spare tire being an inch smaller then the toyos. With a smaller diameter tire, the electronics will sense wheel spin and activate the traction control

I wonder if a factory wheel and tire would fit where the spare is? If it would, might be worth buying. This is especially true for anyone that might put it through more extreme conditions.
