Just wondering.... has anyone tried to knock off the fake hood vents and would there be any pros or cons to doing so. Hubby and I were thinking of having those cut out for better air circulation to the engine... Any feed back would be appreciated

Nice cold air intake but not what I am looking for, that part will stay "as is" for now. On the hood, there are 2 "fake" vents, I was wondering if anyone has cut them out to have more air flow over the engine. Seems stupid to me to have just the "look" of vents when you can have true vents....

I am in total agreeance. I had a 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo that had the fake vents. I used the dremel to make them functional and then cut the mat under the hood to make it flow into the engine bay. I will likely do that with the Rebel as well, just need to find the time. Between a newborn and the dreaded "Honey-Do" list, I don't have time to wash my beloved Rebel.
