i don't think you will see anything untill a few months after they release. i feel like the first few trucks will sell just because its new and wont need much haggling. and another poster mentioned that the first batch of trucks each dealer is only getting one. but thats all speculation on my part

The feeling I got around Houston is that dealers are scared of this truck. There's risk with the new front end and no sales history. They don't know whether to sell it quickly and not take a loss from sitting, or jack up the price to MSRP. I test drove mine the day it came off the truck. The dealer didn't even know it was coming and had little knowledge about it. After we agreed on a price, he gave me 24 hrs to get it off the lot- there was another interested buyer willing to pay sticker- but MY guy wouldn't have received that commission.

I've since gone back for tint, and they are NOW selling them at MSRP. Apparently, they have the option to give us the FACTORY incentives! They already have 2 others on order.

So, hopefully you can find a dealer with little to no knowledge of the Rebel and work a deal from the same angle I did- "New Front End that everyone may not like"....scare tactic.

Talking to those around my town, they are not budging on price. One flat out stated they were doing msrp +5k for them. Several others said they would not discount them for me which was my major issue. I get set pricing via an employee discount and all but two dealers said they would not honor it. But I finally found two that would and so far the one I ordered from has been great, they also said right up front I get any and all discounts that will be available when my truck arrives (which is part of the set pricing) with out even prompting them. So I am looking at about the same price range/drop as these guys but I wont know exact price until it actually arrives.

All I can say is good luck but I dont think you will get much of a break unless you get really lucky.

Haven't dealt with rewards like that ever but do you know if it's limited to only participating dealers or is it all dealers? I know sometimes that 'only participating dealers' thing can be noted in fine print.
Not all dealers have to participate, you are correct. But, my dealer DOES participate, but wouldn't on this particular vehicle because ti had just come off the truck.

My dealer had two, they told me the first one they sold was $4k above MSRP. I got mine $4k below MSRP. Don't know what that tells you exactly, but that's what happened.

What do you mean by employee pricing? if you are talking about the ACTUAL employee discount, you can get it any time just go in and talk to the dealer. Of course they have to not be dicks and follow the program as they are supposed to, and for some reason there is no penalty from RAM if they dont. I am going to write to RAM about my local dealers who are not following the rules and let them know.

That was my problem, I get affiliate pricing but most of the dealers around here said either well give me SOME (small) discount or "no way we dont care and dont even want to talk about it". They are not allowed to do this by the way, they either participate or they do not, its black or white unless its a limited numbers car. And the price rules are in the fine print specifically stating the price set from RAM on the invoice may not be exceeded by ANY addition besides the registration fee. Luckily I found two dealers locally who were happy to help me place me order for the set price. So I have my affiliate price set, but wont know what discounts get added on top until I take delivery of my order.
