I just got the recall done today. Dealer called me to let me know the parts were in and scheduled me for this morning. I asked if I could look at the truck when it was up on the rack, but I waited about 25 minutes before asking so that I could peek at the work in progress. Ostensibly to see the undercarriage better. The service department wasn't busy at all, and they didn't seem to mind escorting me out there for a few minutes.

The rear differential cover was removed, and I could see red sealant still clinging in places where the cover had seated. 12 of the screws that were replaced were for the differential cover. I was able to see the axle and the tech removed it as I was standing there. He looked at it, told me it was the heat treated version, cleaned it all up, and put it back into place. He said they'd had a number of trucks in for that recall but so far hadn't had to replace a single axle. I thanked him for checking it for me, though.

Around 20 minutes later I drove off. Total time in shop was just under 55 minutes. The tech said it might have taken an extra couple of minutes to unbox and put in a new axle shaft but he doubted it.

My invoice shows the same number of items as Jrod250. No axle shaft, but there is an entry for paint. I'm guessing they painted the bolts or touched up a scrape on the differential.

Dropped mine off this morning when i initially called last week they quoted me "1 hour R40 RADIO SECURITY VULNERABILITY" and "5 Hours for R59 LEFT REAR AXLE SHAFT" . and undetermined time for the "Whistling issue (another thread) So i took my loaner (cherokee ...ughh) and went on my way hope to hear something this afternoon cause i dont want to have to linger on this 2 days especially if you all are getting the warranty work done in under 2 hours.

I had my warranty for the axel looked at Monday and it came out okay thankfully. The nav recall was done at the dealership when I purchased it. That is the only two that I am showing.

I take mine in soon for a couple minor issues and they mentioned nothing about any recalls. I'm wondering if mine was built late enough in 2015 that it was beyond those issues. Can't remember the build date off hand, I think late in August.

Just had mine done yesterday. Took it in at 8 and got a call at 3 that it was ready. The paperwork shows they replaced the axle shaft on mine (built in July 2015). As I posted in another thread, I also asked them to look at the flickering dash lights issue which has happened twice to me, but they could not replicate it and saw no computer codes. BTW, my loaner was a Jeep Patriot. Glad to get my Rebel back. Other than the dash lights, I've had no problems with the truck.
