So, much to my dismay, after being out on the road last two weeks in the big truck, and the rebel being under the wife's care, noticed yesterday, two deep one inch scratches on the passenger back quarter panel....after watching three hours of youtube videos, on how to repair....the wife insisted it get fixed professionally...drove by the clear lake dealership yesterday, they said the will repaint the entire panel for around 275 bucks, in by 9am out by 3pm....im thinking thats prob the best solution...what say u?

The wife is deny mode....no clue, it doesn't look malicious, in a weird spot...the only thing I can come up with is, she supposedly put the top on by herself.....those scratches are so deep, and my wife would have had it fixed before my return if she knew she did it.....

My Rebel got it's first mark a few days ago. The black "wrap"on the driver side door pillar got chipped. I think a rock shot up at me. dang.

I just dropped the rebel at the ram dealership to repair the scratches....I pray I made the right choice to have them fix it....

Fixed.....200 bucks. They buffed the scratch on molding...other than that....perfect

Now you just have to forget that it ever happened at all!

It's scary to think of all the things that could happen to your new purchase when you're not around... I work construction and today I look out the building to see 5 guys standing around my truck, 2 leaning on it and one actually put his coffee on my hood... needless to say the guy next to me crapped his pants I yelled so loud. Had it been my 2002 Dakota, I wouldn't have cared as much, maybe.

Oh man you'd hate me... I've already had mine down trails going dog hunting out of it. Didn't notice any scratches yet... But then again I'm scared to look closely. I did notice a chip in my drivers handle. Not sure if a rock came up or someone did it with a ring or bad paint or what. Anyone else had these issues with the exterior door handles?

Mine came with a small round chip in it, about 2-3mm diameter on the drivers door handle. After reading about all the other more significant problems with the pain on this listserve, I decided to ignore it.

scratches are bound to happen sooner or later but they did a good job fixing the paint.

Looks like a meteorite hit it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I learned that if you push the tri-fold tonneau cover forward and it’s not seating at the cab side, it will skate up the back side of the cab and leave really deep scratches at the outer edge next to the rear window! Did it while loading the bed of the truck in the dark, about a week after having it home. I was SOOO bummed. But I have to take it in for oil (first 4 are free) and have it looked at as to why it does not sit level. I also have a rattle in the dash.

I’ll see what it will cost me to have the paint work done then.
