Single digit and teens temperatures today. Went through carwash today. Left carwash and message came on dash that said "PARKSENSE UNAVAILABLE WIPE REAR SENSORS".

Of course I wiped them and the message is still there.

Water got in there and froze? Should I wait it out or contact dealer. Just at 2,500 miles. I'm in Northern Indiana, so temps are going to stay cold for the next couple of months.

Anyone else had this?

Thanks!

bring the truck in your garage if that is possible to let them dry out. get a hair blow dryer. I have done this plenty of times.
Good tip. It's too bad they don't make it sealed to prevent this from happening, can't be that hard to take those preventative measures and at not much of a cost.

These are sound transducers, like miniature sonar devices. They're ultrasonic, above our hearing range. Like bats. When they get damp on the front and then freeze it effects their ability to transmit and receive sound waves. You can't put anything over them like sealant, it would have the same effect as ice.
