Does anyone know what this is or what is supposed to go here. Small indented circle, not sure of it's purpose.

It's a light

No not a light, there is a light right by the back window power button that shines down on the center console but this doesn't seem to do anything. Wondering if it's some sort of sensor.

Auto dimming sensor? Are you sure? I thought the sensor was in the mirror itself. My '05 has an auto-dimming mirror with no such sensor up above. It's sensor is in the mirror itself.
