So I get the Recall notice in the mail so I call around everyone is backed up atleast 2 weeks so i say ok and leave as I'm leaving the MIL light comes on indicating i may have gotten bad gas. Asked them to check it they cant til the 23rd I'm thinking i should've kept my Challenger didn't have one problem with it. Has anyone else MIL light come on?

To be fair, if that was the case, that isn't the fault of the truck. Someone put the wrong gas into it.

You can get that from a loose gas cap I believe. Happened to me with my Dakota often.

If that's the case, a defective gas cap might also be something to consider if the cap was tightened down how it should be.

man 9/10 times you just forgot to screw it all the way on...

My Dakota did have a bad gas cap. Changed it out and never had a light again.

You can just check the codes yourself. It's easy to get the code, and to look it up on the web to see what it means. They have codes for all sorts of stuff, not just gas caps. You could be guessing about the problem for days and not even be looking at the right area of the truck.

If you don't know how to get the codes yourself (lots of videos on youtube) you can always go to Autozone or similar stores and they can pull them for you with a tester at no charge.

Well it wasn't bad gas either its something electrical and they cant seem to find the problem from what theyre saying something is staying on and running the battery completely dead by the next morning once they find the problem and its out of service ill post what the problem was incase anyone else has the same issue
