Welcome my friend!

**I feel like there should be a welcome basket list to all new Rebelers. Like, push all your fuses is 'cause half are half way out. No, you're not seeing things, your "black" headlamps really do have chrome for some yet unknown reason. 35's will fit (sorta). Let's see, am I missing anything else? :)

Don't forget to check for foggy headlights, flickering dash lights and go over every square inch of paint, seems to be a lot of guys with small to large paint issues. Also XM reception has been an issue for a few of us as well.

Good idea. You should write it up and post it in the New Member Intro section and maybe a moderator can make it sticky so it's the first one visible.

You might mention, in case they haven't sifted through all their manuals yet, the MOPAR owner site and to check there for recall notices.

So, I actually did notice some moisture build up in the one headlight lense today. Is that a common thing? Also, I've been trcking the MPG. I needed a vehicle that could tow an 8,000lb boat but I sdrive 30k miles per year. I'm in Florida where it's flat as can be and 95% of miles back and forth to work are one highway exit to the next. Seems like I'm only getting about 16 mpg with cruise control set at 74mph. I asked the dealer and they said there's a 2,000 mile break in period where the computer needs to learn my driving habbits and then I should see low 20s mpg on the highway. Any other highway drivers that have passed the break in period and can clue me in here?

Again, welcome Bjorn. Don't mean to spook you, these really are minor things that many have noticed after the first few days/weeks. I can't speak to the mileage yet since I only have 375 miles on mine, but the condensation thing has been a problem for some. On page 854 of the user manual Ram says the following:

"NOTE: Lens fogging can occur under certain atmospheric conditions. This will usually clear as atmospheric conditions change to allow the condensation to change back into a vapor. Turning the lamps on will usually accelerate the clearing process."

So they do cover their you know whats by including that little nugget in the manual. For me, it's a non-issue, but I also live in one of the driest states in the union so condensation on anything here is rare. Being in Florida, I could see this being a problem. Others have mentioned that the housing just doesn't get warm enough because of the halogen projector lights.

I really would check the fuse panel though. You'll find that at least half the fuses aren't completely seated. It's a strange issue, but many people on here have confirmed the issue.

Other than all that, you're gonna love that truck!
