New Rebel Issues

27002 Views 55 Replies 32 Participants Last post by  Pitajr
Good Day, picked up my Rebel last week and notice upon vehicle inspection that the front right bumper was approx 1/2 inch lower then the left side. Dealer indicated they will address the issue (in writing). Picked up the vehicle today and noticed the issue was not fixed. The dealer indicated they contacted RAM Canada and RAM said this was within tolerance and all Rebels were manufactured this way. Has anyone else experienced this issue, any assistance in this matter would be of great assistance

i guess it was a bad bearing, messed up the axel seal, and the shaft and some other stuffs..
Incorrect torque from the axle supplier?

rear axle bearing

2000 miles and I took it into the dealer today. Rear axle bearing assembly blown. Parts are on back order. Should be in at the dealer in 5-7 business days. I did get a Ram truck as a courtesy vehicle.
Same issue here. Fog builds on the bottom of the head lamp. Going to take mine in to have all of the warranty stuff checked out and complain about this.
I Am getting a whistle from the windshield seems passenger side around 65 mph. Working on getting it into the dealership
I had this too, when the recirculation button was on. Just had my housing replaced today, and I think it's resolved. Took them all day, since they had to remove the entire dashboard.

What I have now, is really loud windshield wipers (first time it's rained, since I got it). Oddly, it's louder in the cab than on the outside. Almost like a click when they switch directions.
My bumper came like that too. Was about a half inch lower on the passenger side. I loosened up the bumper bolt and leveled it out and re-tightened. Took about 15 min.
Anymore information on how you leveled the bumper would be really helpful. Do you just remove the plastic shield in the wheel well to access the bumper bolt? Do you have to loosen both sides?

i think there are only 4 bolts that hold the bumper on. 2 on each frame rail

maybe tomorrow i will try and fix my bumper too.
Let us know if you have any luck fixing it yourself - good luck.
6 bolts hold it on.

TAke the tow hooks off and it's easy to get to them all. 18mm sockets.
Only loosened the passenger side. Didn't accomplish much. Might have to loosen them all and try it that way.
just took it 10 kms to town today, put it in 4x4 to get off location, traction control went ape.... service trailer light on, service abs light on, traction control warning light is stuck on.. grinding and violently shaking..
I'm worried. I get back from the dealership after having my window and headlights looked at and go to the carwash. As I enter the wash bay, the truck starts turning like I'm in 4low. I'm praying I don't have the front bearing issue, since I already had the axle recall work done... unless god forbid they screwed up the install of my new axle. Uhg.
uneven bumper for me, too

I noticed my uneven front bumper after arriving home. I looked over the truck at the dealership for fit and finish imperfections and can't believe I missed this! Passenger side is at least 1/2" lower. Also noticed a scuff in the front dash on the passenger side between the stitching and also right below the same stitching. It looks as if someone may have put their shoe on the dash. The truck was a dealer-to-dealer swap and already had 500 miles on it when I test drove it. Problem is I bought it from a dealer 150 miles to the south of me.
I feel like I need to go check and see if mine has the same bumper not being level issue when I get home.

Mine had 10 miles on it when I first test drove it, had it for a day and noticed the steering column plastics are rubbing on the steering wheel when turning. I can see scratch and scuff marks already. Looks like the plastics are uneven and need to get them swapped.

Its not the plastic, i had the same issue. They replaced the wiring harness spinny thing in the sterring wheel column and it fixed the issue.
Unless it actually is the plastic, but mine had scraping sounds when turning and it was the inner harness.

My imperfection is with my passenger side carpet, I'll have to take a picture when I get home but the yellow innards of the carpet liner are exposed around the outer edge of the plastic liner, i could hide drugs in there
