I was on a wet and muddy gravel road the other day, later when I opened my hood I was surprised how much mud kicked up into the engine area on the passenger side. There is quite a gap between the wheel well liner and the top of the spring/shock mount, I am thinking it is because of the air ride and the variable height etc. Anyone else notice this, and has anyone tried a fix like adding a piece to the liner?
I've noticed that too but it hasn't gotten bad enough for me to warrant wanting to add protection. I just wash out the engine bay every once in a while at the car wash with low pressure water and I avoid hitting any exposed electrical components.
