I know there is a post something like this before however I climbed into my 2016 rebel tonight which is equipped with a sunroof and there is water coming out grab handle located on the left-hand side by the window. Does anyone know what the cause of this is and/or if it's an easy fix?

Also when something like this happen what do I have to worry about being damaged anyone know for sure where the water comes in do I have to worry about mold forming up in the ceiling or a damaging any electronics in the vehicle.

Thank you

Mine did that from both sides and the top console bad. Sunroof has to be replace. Also, Chrysler gave me the top tier 7 year 70,000 mile warranty free for any additional issues that may arise due to water on the electronics. They won't just offer it to you, you have to bitch to get it. I have another post on here about it as well. Search under my user name.

Just had mine to the dealer for the 3rd time for it leaking from both grab handles. They said the same as JRob, the sunroof has to be replaced. Too bad there are 3000 on back order. May actually have to bitch at my Chrysler case manager to see if I can get the extended warranty free also.

So it turns out it's the actual sunroof itself there's a steel frame that goes around the glass and somehow it gets in between the steel frame and the glass. They're ordering a replacement glass for it but there specialist said sometimes even the replacement glass leaks that there is an updated glass available that is backordered? So hopefully I get the updated glass and I'm not taking it in again

Speaking of headliner, did yours seem loose around the inner area around the sunroof? Mine has a bounce to it and moves when I turn on the reading lights. I can't tell if it's a defect or bad design. Regardless, I'll be discussing it with my dealer.

They replaced my entire sunroof, headliner, and electronics.

Funny enough when I took mine for a drive the area around the sunroof was loose also? When they PDI'd The truck they tightened it up. It does not move around and shake like it did before. I think I'm also going to pursue the dealership for a seven-year warranty on all the electronics in the vehicle
