Any Advice?
I have my eyes on 4 different vehicles, all red monotone. Options nearly the same...mostly fully loaded. All 4 dealers are $8,300 to $9,000 below sticker using rebates and discounts. I have a PRIMO 2006 Dodge 1500 Big Horn I'm looking to trade in. One of the 4 dealers looked and offered 10K. He will be my last stop if I make it that far...LOL. I doubt anyone else will offer more tomorrow, might be lots less. We will see.

Any last second words of wisdom from you veterans?

Try and sell the big horn private party. Extra few grand in your pocket.

Make sure you get one that has the Rebel Cluster. There are some out there without it. And ask for accessories like side steps or tonneau cover as part of the deal. Good luck with your search.

I definitely wouldn't go with the dealer for a trade-in. If you can, private sale for sure to get the most out of it and in your pocket. But the cluster is a big thing too. That's the key my friend !

GOT IT! Yes to cluster and just about everything else. I did trade in old truck for 10K. This saved $625 is sales tax. Also got additional 1K rebate for trading in a Dodge. Total rebate and discount was $9345. Effectively, I would have had to sell truck with 134K miles and some rust for $11,625 to equal trade-in. No brainer. I traded it in. Another dealer offered me real low 6K. Let the customization begin!!!

OKAY FELLAS,

I will next go with side steps, tonneau cover, spray in bed, cold air kit, exhaust dohickie that will make this sound like Tasmanian Devil, trailer hitch, trick plate covers. Any ideas?

I did see this REBEL plate frame but out of stock.

Congrats on the new Rebel! how much did you end up paying out of pocket?

Oh boy...how much? I can't even figure it out. All told, it would have been 62K if had I had paid full list on everything. This includes the 5K or so I plan to add.


10K for trade-in. 12K cash (7 so far at dealer plus 5 in add-ons to be paid soon). 10K all told in rebates and discounts (including discounted aftermarket stuff I am getting). Left with 30K I financed at 1.69% over 5 years. Total interest under $1500. Can't beat it. Will update after fully done with the pics!!!
