If it were me I'd go with black, so I did! However, I put one coat of metalizer on top of the 5-6 coats of black. That gave the rims a bit of a blueish gun metal glittering hue when in the sun. It's kind of hard to describe. I guess the rims are now closer in color to the black trim on the bottom panels of the truck itself. If you look closely, you'll see a bit of fleck in that black truck trim. In any case, after applying the metalizer, the rims lost their "true black". At first I was disappointed, but now actually like it.
Go with the red if you want to stand out more, but I think it looks kind of clownish. In your pictures, the tires themselves have a clean heavy shine. More often than not, those tires will NOT have that wet look and will be much lighter in color. IMO the red rims will look even more out of place. ...just my two cents.
