I did some quick mockups in photoshop.

They both look good. Tough decision. I plan to use plasti-dip.

Definitely Black. I did mine , well two of them a few weeks ago. I didnt take them off btw, just over sprayed tires and used plastic bags between rim gaps, worked great, just didnt like how it looked in the end and just took off an hour later. Figured when time allows Ill get them powder coated, but really lately been happy with the contrast of the stock wheels on the white. Keep us updated on project, love playing with plasti dip

I'm on the same boat.. I would go with the black. Just make sure you have enough coats on there. Were you going to but a gloss on there or leave it matte ?

If it was me I would go with the black. To me the red looks "gawdy." But hey, it's your truck...you should do what you like.

I think the red is too much red. I did a mockup a while back of the red that you can get in a sort of anodized metal look. It's darker and looks more like a tint on the metal. And one person actually did that on his truck with a similar color vinyl wrap. But his truck is a shifting gold / green color - he wrapped it. It's here on the forum somewhere. The wheels turned out pretty nice. I still haven't done mine. Got busy with other things like residing the house this summer once it warmed up.

If it were me I'd go with black, so I did! However, I put one coat of metalizer on top of the 5-6 coats of black. That gave the rims a bit of a blueish gun metal glittering hue when in the sun. It's kind of hard to describe. I guess the rims are now closer in color to the black trim on the bottom panels of the truck itself. If you look closely, you'll see a bit of fleck in that black truck trim. In any case, after applying the metalizer, the rims lost their "true black". At first I was disappointed, but now actually like it.

Go with the red if you want to stand out more, but I think it looks kind of clownish. In your pictures, the tires themselves have a clean heavy shine. More often than not, those tires will NOT have that wet look and will be much lighter in color. IMO the red rims will look even more out of place. ...just my two cents.
