Help!! Intermittent service warning

So I am reaching out to everyone to see if anyone else is getting an intermittent Transmission Service Warning? I have had the same warning pop up on the main dash first the screen says something like " Service Transmission Immediately" Then the next warning says "Vehicle may not be able to change out of drive go to get service"..... So the first time this happened I immediately pulled over and put the car in park and turned it off then on. The warning went away. The next time this happened which was about three weeks later the same exact message came up and I repeated the process same results. I called the dealer and naturally the service guys had no idea what it was and wanted me to take a day off to come in and have the truck looked at. Not so easy when I need go to work for everyday. Another service guy felt that if the message wasn't staying on it wasn't an emergency. Anyway I realized I need to be ready to take a video or photo of this, to show you guys. Today it happened again and as I fumbled for my Iphone the message disappeared on its own. This is nuts it's like I have a ghost service transmission warning and I can't show it to anyone. For what it's worth I never got this warning before the recall on the axle and it has also been finally getting cold here. The service warning has come on twice when I first leave my driveway in the morning when it's the coldest. The other time I had already drove about five miles to a gas station put the truck in reverse and the warning came on but it was cold that day too. I can't find anyone else who has had this issue by doing a search on google?

Check your gas cap. :D

Sorry, just wanted to add some levity to your problem, since that was always the advice I got from Dodge about any warning on my Dakota. Could be a loose sensor or plug.
You need the dealer to hook it up

Probably a sensor.

Maybe watch your trans temp and see if it's getting hot

Just watched the transmission temp while normal driving it reached 180 F which I believe is perfectly normal. It's about 30 F and I having nothing in the bed and not towing. I think they must have messed up a sensor when the checked the axle. Back to the dealer shop:rage:

I had a similar issue 2nd day I owned mine and it was a plug on throttle that was loose.

Did you fix plug on throttle yourself? Or did you go into dealer? I would really like to try and take care of this on my own. Thanks in advance for your input.
