Every morning after I back out of my driveway and put it in drive, when it shifts into 2nd it hangs up for a moment before it engages. It only Happens during the first shift of the day. The dealer says its normal, but I have to disagree. I've had over 30 vehicles and none of them have ever done that. Does anyone else experience this?

Mine does the same in colder weather. My 2014 Ram also did it.

i drive around a little bit slowly before going on the road to get the fluid moving, mine does the same.

Yeah both my 8 speed trucks do the same. My dealership told me the same thing about the tranny being cold and it needs to warm up. I called BS too but have just somewhat became use to it.

Do you have a giant field or something? I and can't drive any slower then the 6 mph that I'm doing when it shifts into 2nd gear.
I find it funny that they say it needs to warm up. So apparently it goes from cold to warmed up in the time from 2nd to 3rd gear

i do have a giant field!! and apartment building. i just drive around one or two before i go out. The giant field is more fun though.

I just floor it so it feels like a hard launch...

Mine does this to, when it's cold. After that first shift, it's fine.
