It's subtle, but you can hear it. Those that don't know the HEMI sound think it sounds like a race car. Those that do know, think it's subtle.

I think the addition of new mufflers or just resonator delete would be HUGE.
That's one thing about being familiar with specific lines of engines, as you pick up on how it makes itself sound different than engines of the same cylinders, its hard to not point out that distinctive sound with its successors and even predecessors

I thought it was a little quiet for my personal taste but it has grown on me. There is no drone at all on the highway(i put around 500 Miles on mine this weekend). When i was visiting family this weekend my uncle loves the way it sounds and wants the catback for his powerwagon if i swap it out.

Right now i dont think i am going to do a full catback, i am just going to get the Y Pipe corrected and maybe a muffler swap but i am going to enjoy it as is for a little while.

As you can imagine throughout the years from say 2011 to now things with the engine change, even components leading up to the engine, all contributing to how it sounds... much like what you see happening with other car makers, but i'm unaware of the exact changes made throughout the years.

for some reason in my mind it keeps telling me that someone said at some point the mufflers were actually made by maganflow. but dont quote me on that and I have no idea where to look it up. I agree that it does sound a bit different than the normal ones though. At least from the videos.

I would believe that since those guys are experts which making exhaust systems and tuning them for specific applications. It also wouldn't be the first time a vehicle make has done this. An example far off from trucks would be Lexus and their LFA supercar, instead of developing a system in-house they reached out to Yamaha.
