Today I started my cross country move to Florida from California. Excited to see how the truck handles pulling two Harleys and everything inside our house as well as post pictures of our travels along the way. First stop: somewhere in AZ

This intrigues me. I'm doing a sightly shorter trip in a couple weeks. 3 family members and I are heading to a wedding for the weekend. It's only 1k miles away. Been wondering how mileage and such will fair in such a long trip.

Lol I should probably rephrase. Everything the movers hadn't already moved. Bed is full too. Not much for two people.

So far mileage has been good. We're towing about 6k around 2k rpms which is putting us around 72 mph. Avg mpg is around 14. Filled up once from San Diego to Tucson.

In for seeing results from the trip.

Some folks I know try to squeeze out as much mileage as they can, looking for every opportunity to shift into neutral and to let the vehicle just coast. Something worth while on long trips which tend to have roads favorable to this.

Is your bed cap slightly narrower then the Rebel itself? or maybe just the picture angle...(not like it matters)

Funny you should ask. It's off a '97 Tacoma it actually is about 6 inches too narrow LOL it could actually sit in the bed. We needed space for a few items and for my dog and bought it for $40 from my neighbor last minute. Used two 2x4 and two 2x6, C clamps, and some rope to secure it. So far it's made it from Oceanside, CA to New Orleans.
