Just a few questions...

Where did you buy/order it from?

How much?

Easy to change?
Hey Vader! I bought it at Autozone for around $10ish. It's black, 14". I haven't noticed any loss of signal reception, but I mostly listen to satellite! Changing it is simple...just unscrew the existing and screw in the new (it comes with the screw and adapter). Piece of cake!

Appreciation for the quick response! Now, off to Autozone (I mean the closest Canadian equivalent)!

No prob. For such a simple thing, it sure makes the truck look better!!

You can save $10 and cut your old one Down and paint it black. The ball on the end will pop off and you can put it again after you cut it
I'm not painting anything else on my truck since my RAM logo on my grille hasn't lasted... I'm not a body/paint guy and should be banned from buying or owning spray paints of any kind!

I ordered this 13" model. It's flexible rubber, and thicker than the stock whip. I like the slightly thicker look for the truck. AntennaX also has the 14" model, painted steel I think, very thin with a rounded cylindrical tip. And they have lots of the shorter ones. I drive in the country a bit. Last time I had a real short antenna, I had a hard time picking up stations in some areas, so I want to stick with a little bit longer model. If you step through AntennaX's vehicle selector, it lets you sort by lots of lengths starting at around 5 or 6".

Got my shorty antenna today. It's the 13" Offroad from AntennaX. It's a stouter-looking unit, thicker, and rubber coated. Simple screw-in. Now I just need to paint the chrome bezel ring black, but that will wait till warmer weather. Here's before/after comparison.
Boom, exactly the same one I have, just a different brand. Saves me from having to take a picture!

Looks good. Is there any flexibility to this one? The only thing I don't like about the short metal variety is their rigidity. If anything scrapes against them, I would think they would break or bend!

Quite flexible, bends in the wind on the highway.
I think Vader's talking about his 14" antenna which appears more slender in his photo. The 13" I got is flexible, but it doesn't bend in the wind much at all around 55mph. It's more like the "rubber ducky" antenna you see on a tactical radio. It will bend if you push on it, and pop back.

You are correct, sir. The 14" is the one I have, and really like it on the Granite look. Anything blacked out just adds to the overall appeal of the Rebel style. In my humble opinion, of course.
