When I first take off in my 2017 renel, within the first few seconds the gas pedal will click/bump once, then again about 2 seconds later... it wont do it again even if i come to a complete stop until i turn the truck off then back on again and the first time giving it gas, and it doesnt do it backing up only going forward.

Is it calibrating? Hopefully everyone else's does this. It sorta bothers me.

Dad had a Chevy that did that once. Dealer said it was just the ABS self-test as you first take off. I heard that their traction control systems can also cause the same feeling. It only happened to him like to you, when he first started the truck each time. Wonder if it's a similar thing? I haven't really noticed it on my Dodge/Rams but it might be more of a case of me mentally tuning small starting noises out.

Mine does as a well. 2017 with 344 miles on it. I neighbor has a Longhorn and he mentioned same sensation. I'm not sweating it.
