I want to get new tires before snow sets in as the factory tires did not do me well last year in the snow. I have already settled on a size as overall height is about the same but it's just wider. I was wondering if anyone has run 305/65r17 on their truck yet and if anyone can post pictures. Thanks!

You wouldn't notice any difference in looks with height and the width they would look better. Why not keep it 295/70r17 with KO2s or Duratrac? I'm looking to change to a 295/70r17ATZ P3s as soon as I can when my truck comes in. I have 34x12.5r18s on my F150 now and they're a great tire but for what ever stupid reason they don't have something like that in a 17.

Yah I know it's pretty close to height, just wider. I don't want a taller Tire, just a slightly wider one.

Yeah they'll be fine then.
I know they will be fine...I'm just hoping someone has pictures of a similar set up so I can see the look of them.

It's almost invisible to me. 305s are only 3/4 inch wider than stock. From 15 feet away, it's pretty much invisible, since you're starting with tires that are already pretty wide.

I've done it and seen it done on trucks and other vehicles but no pictures handy. I moved from
I prefer to start with 315s or wider, at least 1" or more difference.

Have you found any? I'm struggling to u determine what rubs and what doesn't. I've seen posts saying 315 will rub and others saying they don't. I think it may be helpful for folks to note what tire theyre going with so we can come up with a list of no rub no mod tires.

I'm looking at Toyo ATII 305/70/17. It's a 1.1 inch increase in overall diameter and .8 inch increase in width over the stock 285's. I'm thinking it'll fill it out a little better without being as stuffed as the 315 are... thoughts and experiences would be appreciated.

I bought a new house and am doing projects around the house right now so unfortunately I have not purchased new tires yet. As far as rubbing in a 315, I've heard some do and some don't. Even though you can compare the same size across the board, some manufactures have slightly different "actual" sizes. It also depends on what width rim you're mounting the said tire to.
