This is my first truck with air suspension. Should I be hearing air escaping from the rear shocks. Was travelling on a bumpy gravel road to the cottage & stopped to check my load when I heard air escaping from the shock. Sounded just like a Mack truck releasing air. Noticed on a couple occasions that the truck hit really hard.

The air ride is poorly designed and is prone to failure. Lines, compressor and bags are all bound to fail within the first 3 years in colder climates. I would venture a guess you may be hearing the system outgassing as it levels off after a long drive OR you're one of the unlucky owners that experiences premature airbag failure.

Either way, you may be in for a rough ride, pardon the pun.
