If someone understands please explain, Ram builds the Rebel to be an off road truck... makes 4WD optional... OK...:confused::confused:

My impression was 4WD was standard, on both v6 and hemi models.
Only the (optional 5.7 Hemi) equipped model can come with 2WD version.

Just one of many article's sense I've been following the Rebel release, is there contrary information out there?

I got this from Car and Driver

The Rebel will be available only as a crew cab with the five-foot-seven-inch bed, but owners can choose between the 305-hp 3.6-liter V-6 and the 395-hp 5.7-liter Hemi V-8; two rear-end ratios are available, too. Four-wheel drive is not standard, but 2WD Rebels will have the same basic suspension.

Ok 4x4 is standard with the Pentastar V6, Hemi is RWD or 4x4

Both configurations come with a TorqueFlite 8 eight-speed automatic transmission, and the Hemi is available as a four-wheel and rear-wheel drive. The Pentastar will be available only as a 4x4.
