As many of you know, the first Rebel's will be 2015 models. The 2015s will be pre spec models picked by Ram with most dealerships getting 1. The 2015s are already scheduled and will probably be on showrooms in 6 weeks.

As of 6/11/15, the 2016s became available for order. The plant is scheduled to start manufacturing on 8/24.

As the GM of a Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram store, this is all 100% confirmed. I even special ordered one for my self.

One very interesting note, you cannot get a Rebel with Rambox and a sunroof as it exceeds the GVWR of a 1500.

If I want to order one for april 2016 delivery (due to lease expiration) when should I enter a custom order? Thanks

Trucks are usually delivered 6-8 weeks from the order, might be a few extra weeks in the case of this truck. Also you might check with your lease company as many have pull ahead programs so that when you are 2 to 3 months out from finishing your lease, they will end your lease early for you if you lease another.

I was never aware of the pull ahead programs, first time getting a new truck in a long time, so that will definitely help when considering whether to lease or finance.

jek3 - Yes we never had the chance to order a 2015 Rebel. They were just sent from the factory with what they picked on them. The 2015s are coming with a lot of equipment around the $52000 range from what I've seen so far.

If anyone is interested in getting one ordering one let me know.

A little update. I Called my dealer back and spoke to the salesman i have been talking to for a few months. He says they have 2 on order but that the eta is still about a month out. He says after being built they sit in a staging lot for a few weeks! Is that a normal procedure for new vehicles to sit in a lot for a few weeks before being delivered? I just want to see the thing in person and test drive one!

It usually takes about 3 weeks from the day they are manufactured to get to the lot, and sometimes longer. Transportation logistics.
That sounds about right, plus it helps that this isn't some reengineered vehicle, making the process not all too different from what they have setup and not as time consuming as with something more extensive.
