As many of you know, the first Rebel's will be 2015 models. The 2015s will be pre spec models picked by Ram with most dealerships getting 1. The 2015s are already scheduled and will probably be on showrooms in 6 weeks.

As of 6/11/15, the 2016s became available for order. The plant is scheduled to start manufacturing on 8/24.

As the GM of a Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram store, this is all 100% confirmed. I even special ordered one for my self.

One very interesting note, you cannot get a Rebel with Rambox and a sunroof as it exceeds the GVWR of a 1500.

Do you know why they rushed them out for the end of '15 instead of just waiting for the changeoveR?

and welcome to the boards!
What is the GVWR? Is that some type of weight restriction for trucks?

I'm sure it was just for marketing, there will be at least a 3 month gap between the 2015 Rebels and the 2016s because of the gap between production runs.

Gross Vehicle Weight Rating for a 1500 truck is 6000 lbs and under, 6001 pounds and over makes it a class2 so it would have to be a 2500.

Any changes in color options?

Also could you by chance post the lease information (Residual and MF) for the 2015 Rebel?

Thanks
I was going to order mine, but my dealer reminded me of 2 things- the year to year FCA price hikes, and the current $5500 rebate for the '15 1500 models. Since I didn't want to pay sticker price, I ended up snatching the one on his lot. For those looking for a deal on a Rebel, you might want to pick up a 2015. If your dealer is as great as mine, he'll make you a **** of a deal.

As AWESOME as this truck is, I doubt we'll see very many rebates and incentives for 2016.

Just my 2 cents.

That's how much stuff you can put in your truck and measured by weight. This is very important as beyond this amount you would be operating it beyond it's intented design and could have to pay the conseqences in $$$ or with your own safety and this make this guy happy >:).

Below 1,500 pounds would make this a useless truck when compared to other trucks.

Plus the powertrain warranty for the 2016's is being reduced from 5 year/100,000 miles to 5 year/60,000 miles.

This is HUGE! Without lowering the price, FCA is quietly taking away a perk.
40,000 miles is A LOT to be taking away, probably what they figured will save them a lot of money, smart move on their part since i bet not many will see 5 years before 60,000
I got the first one in the tri state area in black. LOVE it I don't want a sunroof so I am fine with my cookie cutter Rebel
Congratulations! Nothing wrong with liking your cookie cutter rebel. I think yours probably came with all of the options (besides sunroof) since a few members has suggested that the first batch just had them as default.
