Hey Gents, Need some grandniece with the purchase of some 20" rims & wheels for my Rebel
I'd like to go with 35" and I know there have been some slight issues with rubbing but it can be corrected by cutting away some plastic.
The Rims in question are available in a 18 mm offset which is the same as stock (from what I understand) and a -12 mm offset which would mean they stick out a bit further.
I might like the look of the slightly wider stance.
My Questions are:
1. Would a set of the -12 mm offset not rub with the 35" tires
2. Would a set of bushwacker or Lund pocket style fender flares typically stick out enough to compensate for the -12mm offset. prefer not to have the side of the truck stone chipped up.
3. Any warranty issues? as I've heard the more the offset the harder on wheel bearings, would the dealership say "tough luck"
4. Or do I just purchase the 18 mm rims and keep'er stock , stock flares, cut the plastic and carry on.
sorry for all the questions it's just a fair bit of $$ I'm going to put out and I want to do it right !!
Thanks !!
