Simply AWESOME!

This is the ONLY vehicle I have ever had that paints a smile on my face when I see it. I look forward to MANY years with her!

REVIEW:

Engine - More power than I need.
Transmission - still smooth as ever
Suspension - sturdy and quiet(my ford suspension made lots of sounds from the springs)
Stock Bed Cover - you get what you pay for. This was only a $500 option, so I didn't expect much. It already has a small tear from driving with it folded. The vinyl has also stretched- can be seen flapping in the wind and will probably cause an affect on gas mileage.
Interior - I will NEVER go back to leather!!!! I think Ryan Nagode, designer of the interior, is a genius for using vinyl seats! I was skeptical at first, but they are MUCH better than leather. If FCA plays it's cards right, I think they could make vinyl popular again. With the limitless color options, they can't go wrong.
Gas Mileage - decent. On a 17 hour road trip, loaded down w/ 3 passengers, I averaged 15.5 mpg. Empty, I can average 17 hwy/ 15 city at sea level in humid Houston, TX.

Now for the only negatives I could find....

Tires - happy with the quiet ride, but IMO they are NOT good in the rain. I don't care if the tread is on the seats, I'll probably seek a tire better suited for wet weather.

Oil Filter - The placement of the filter has to be the worst I've every seen. I do my own oil changes, so I endured a few bruises and lots sweat to replace the filter. First oil and filter change was done at 9,600 miles. Surprisingly, the oil was clean! Of course it was black(color changes the the first 100 miles), but it was very thin.

Overall, I'm very happy.

Good review. I agree about the tires, I don't think I'll keep them long. OEM tires are never as good as aftermarket tires, even if you get the same ones. I think mine ride a little funny on the freeway, too.

Can't wait to hear some opinions after people start changing out the tires.

Glad she's holding up so well. Pretty funny on the seat traction. The tires were a big question mark for me too but, we finally got some snow yesterday and am happy to report these tires rock. Spent yesterday in 4wd and had great fun. Today the roads are icy and slushy but 2wd is all I've needed, very relieved.

I've heard the same about the performance in snow, but we don't get any down here. All we get is rain, making for oil slick streets!

I agree totally with CHOWDA, these tires redeem themselves on snow and ice. A huge relief for anyone up north here, in Canada's prairies. Too bad about the wet performance, thankfully we get more snow than rain here.

A5, that is great to hear! Up northwest from you here in Utah, the tires are handling superbly after we got two feet of fresh snow. I was in Houston several times over the summer. Never thought I would need scuba gear to get around the Sam Houston parkway!

I'm glad to hear you're just as happy with your Rebel as day one. Hopefully it's many years of smiles for us all!

20,000 Mile Review-

STILL FRIGGIN AWESOME. She took her first trip to the shop, but it was cosmetic. I had the vinyl replaced on the door pillar because it was chipping off and had a bubble. It was covered under warranty so no worries.

She also celebrated her 1st birthday on July 23rd. I got her a Flowmaster Super 10, which was mentioned in another post.

No other updates, no complaints. Cheers!

Nice review! For the cover if you're not already doing it put some of the Extang Toneau Tonic on it to help keep the vinyl conditioned, I do my truxedo every 2-3 months. For the tires I had the AT2s on my truck now before going to KO2s and I hated them so I'm not looking forward to them when I get my Rebel. The KO2s are one of the best tires out there so check them out when you need new rubber.
