Unlimited data plans my friend, unlimited data plans. I'd be stranded or stuck in heavy traffic all the time if not for the constantly updating Google map. I have a normal GPS (not Garmin) too but it hasn't been updated in a while but it should still verbally notify me when a red light camera is coming up.

For Garmin owners, and maybe an insight into the Rebel system. The Garmin GPS doesn't come with red light camera warning unless you subscribe to them: https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/shop...prod69781.html

Maybe you can ask them if it'll work on the Rebel.

Thanks for the Waze tip everyone. I'll download it and give it a try.

Verizon's no longer listing unlimited data plans. AT&T is offering unlimited right now only if you have cell service and DirectTV from them. And then they warn you it will be throttled after 22GB.

Unfortunately down where I am, I think only WIND mobile offers unlimited date. *After 6GB usage, it becomes ridiculously slow. Pretty much stuck with the maximum 6gb from Fido unfortunately.

Guess I'm pretty lucky that I held onto the Unlimited Data plan from Verizon when I did and got grandfathered in. Yeah they raised my rates by $20.00 in Nov., but still at $40.00 a month for unlimited is still a good deal all things considered.

never got a photo enforcement ticket.
my radar picks up the speed / photo enforcement and my usual safe driving protects me against the red light cameras.

Guess we know why johnj got himself a rebel. To carry this around in the truck bed.

But yea, there's no fool proof way to avoid getting tickets besides driving safe and at speed limit. Unless you're johnj.

Yeah, it's tough to get out of all tickets. Was riding with a friend once in his truck, and he was flying down the road, country road in TX. Came over a low bridge and there was a cop parked in a low spot on the other side. The cop asked him why he was driving so fast. He busted up laughing, and told the cop "Because I didn't know you were there!" Got the cop laughing, too, and the cop let him go without even a warning.
@TheGreatRam - That's a nice mockup. It's impossible to get a photo of the real thing, or I'd share it.
